Hampshire Farmers' Market
Andover, Test Valley
We love our food in Hampshire. We love celebrating it too and making Hampshire’s food and drink an integral part of some fun-filled events and activities.
Wherever you go in Hampshire there’s something to discover, such as the Trout and About Festival in Test Valley in August, highlighting the Test River’s famous trout and Stockbridge’s reputation for excellence as a foodie town.
The Festival of Food in Southsea is part of a month-long celebration of food in the Portsmouth area in June and July, featuring cookery demonstrations, markets, celebrity events and food tastings all over town.
The one-day Watercress Festival in Alresford in May pays tribute to the famous salads grown nearby and includes music, dance and street theatre as well as more foodie delights.
Topping the lot is the popular Hampshire Food Festival in July, organised by Hampshire Fare. This month-long festival highlights the best of Hampshire’s fine local produce and includes nearly 100 food-related activities, from brewery visits and chocolate making to cookery schools and cider pressing.
Add to that the delicious temptations at the weekly farmers’ markets, the Southampton Mela, the Southampton Beer Festival and the annual Romsey and New Forest Shows, and there’s something to enjoy all year round.
