A Victorian Festival of Christmas

We love our food in Hampshire and we love celebrating it. We enjoy making food and drink an integral part of our many fun-filled events and activities across the county.
Wherever you go in Hampshire there is something to discover, such as the 'Watercress Festival' in Alresford in May. This event pays tribute to the famous crop grown nearby and includes music, dance and a variety of foodie delights.
The Southsea Food Festival is part of a month-long celebration of food in the Portsmouth area in June and July, featuring cookery demonstrations, markets, celebrity events and food tastings all over town.
Topping the lot is the popular Hampshire Food Festival in July, organised by Hampshire Fare. This month-long festival highlights the best of Hampshire’s fine local produce and includes nearly 100 food-related activities, from brewery visits and chocolate making to cookery schools and cider pressing.
Add to that the delicious temptations at the weekly farmers’ markets, Basingstoke's Festival of Food, the Southampton Beer Festival and the annual Romsey and New Forest Shows, and there’s something to enjoy all year round.
