With many famous chefs and their restaurants choosing Hampshire as their home, you’ll find amazing places to eat and drink as well as the country’s largest farmers' market

Sample local seafood, wild mushrooms and fresh Hampshire produce at one of our many great restaurants. The ‘Dining Room’ in Hotel Terravina even has plates made from hollowed local bark created from New Forest Hawthorn branches.

You’ll also find top quality produce in our farmers’ markets all year round, produced and reared in the county. Choose from national award-winning cheeses, fresh trout, tempting chocolate, fresh watercress, beers and wine, quality meat, chutney, jam and more. Regular Hampshire Farmers' Markets take place in Winchester, Alton, Emsworth, Petersfield, Ringwood, Southsea and Romsey. The Winchester market features over 80 local producers and is the biggest in the country.

Hampshire Farm Shops

Through out Hampshire you’ll find a number of well stocked farm shops. Laverstoke Park Farm, which is run by Jody Scheckter, former F1 world champion racing driver, has won awards for their buffalo and meat products. Visit the farm shop for tasty organic meat, vegetables, dairy, confectionary and farm made pasties.

You can also pick your own fruit and vegetables at Durleighmarsh Farmshop near Petersfield. There’s different fruit such as blueberries, sunberries and tayberries as well as pick-your own flowers and herbs.

Farm butchery workshops take place at Parsonage Farm in Andover including sausage, lamb and pork. There’s also a popular charcuterie workshop with Marc Frederic Berry, Britain's only French registered Boucher-Charcutier-traiteur.
