Local attractions include Royal Navy Submarine Museum, Explosion!, The Museum of Naval Firepower, Gosport Market (Tuesday and Saturday). The Gosport Ferry will take you to Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays - the shopping centre with designer outlets.
