Hamble Valley champions launch of free visitor magazine
30th March 2011
Contemporary Culture, The Good Life and Local Heritage are the overriding themes of the glossy new 2011 Hamble Valley Visitor Magazine to tempt visitors and residents to discover the area known as Hampshire’s ‘beautiful breathing space’.
Celebrating Hamble Valley attractions and businesses, the free magazine features local people and businesses known as “Local Champions” who are passionate about the Hamble Valley and all it has to offer; they share their favourite places to visit and what they love about the area.
One champion, Jenny Schwausch of Strawberry Cottage B&B in Hedge End commented “The Hamble Valley has proved particularly successful and has given this area of Hampshire an identity. As a local business we value the support of publications such as the Hamble Valley Visitor Magazine and want to share with visitors and residents why it is a beautiful place to visit.”
With unique and interesting attractions, the Visitor Magazine includes information on family events, children-friendly activities, free and low cost ideas for family days out as well as interesting articles and information on the heritage of the area and how to live the Hamble Valley Good Life.
Says Jo Cooper, Director for Hamble Valley, “This is our most comprehensive guide to the area yet. It is a great reference publication for Hampshire residents providing ideas for days out during 2011, tips on making the most of the Hamble Valley and some quirky facts on the area.”
These include special offer vouchers to attractions such as the iconic Bursledon Windmill, Hampshire’s only working windmill where visitors can have a go at grinding flour. Theatre, dance and music events at The Point in Eastleigh and The Berry Theatre, the new Hedge End venue which opens in April also feature in the magazine promoting the diverse range of cultural activities as well as walking trails and routes connecting coast and countryside through the various open spaces and country parks.
The Hamble Valley Visitor Magazine is available free by contacting Hamble Valley on 023 8000 1655 or by ordering online through www.hamblevalley.com.
As an added incentive, all recipients of the guide have the opportunity to win a short break at Ellington Lodge Hotel at The Concorde Club in Eastleigh and a Family Pass to Marwell Wildlife near Colden Common.
