Avington Park, a Palladian mansion, features a classical portico surmounted by 3 statues built c1670. Staterooms on view include the magnificently painted ballroom and drawing-room, library and hall. Two unique glass conservatories flank the old orangery with views onto superb parkland.

Nearest station is Winchester. Bus 64 to Alresford/Guildford. Alight at Trout pub and walk to Avington. Turn right into drive after humped-back bridge.
