Hampshire has many festivals and special events. Tall ships, pirate shows, live music and spectacular boats make the annual Southampton Boat Show a day out to remember. For those with a nautical interest, Cowes Week, the world's largest regatta, has been a regular fixture in the Solent every August since 1826 and is a truly magnificent spectacle.
