The main line train station London Waterloo to Alton takes an hour, with local bus routes to Farnham, Guildford, Winchester and Basingstoke stopping on the other side of The Butts, makes leaving the car so easy. The apartment offers comfort with convenience, the independence of self-catering accommodation and yet an easy walk to all the eateries in Alton.

The first floor accommodation comprises an open plan apartment with king size 6' bed or twin beds, en suite with shower, compact kitchen and dining area seating up to 6, fully equipped for catering and eating. Butts House is situated in a Conservation Area. The house itself was built in 1730 and was the last house in the Parish of Alton. From 1754-1758 the house was known as 'The Sign of the Star' public house and then was used as 'The Pest House' as it was so isolated. It was surrounded by hop fields that supplied the breweries of Alton.
