The Swan

The Swan, dating from 1377, has recently undergone a major refurbishment. Part of Old English Inns, a division of the back to back award winning company, Greene King. All 36 bedrooms have en suite facilities, tea/coffee making, along with TV and CD player. We can offer substantial discounts for late bookings, please telephone for details. Ideally located for touring, Jane Austen Country and visiting "The Watercress Line", which travels between Alton and Alresford. Our restaurant, open to all, offers contemporary dining, with an excellent menu, changed every 6 weeks to offer the best from the locality. We have a fully serviced function suite, taking up to 140, where we cater for business seminars, weddings and general functions. We also have a smaller conference room catering for up to 20. Flip charts, OHP, TV/Video facilities are available. Previous guests using the Swans facilities: Queen Elizabeth, The Earl of Essex, Lord Nelson, Sir Francis Drake, Judge Jefferies, Jane Austen, Gilbert White, Lord Baden Powell and Field Marshall Montgomery to name but a few.
