Brymer House is a charming Bed & Breakfast, in a quiet residential area on the southern outskirts of Winchester. The Bed & Breakfast offers comfortable self-contained accommodation in a beautifully furnished Town House. Located within the village of St. Cross and walking distance to Winchester city centre either via the historical buildings of Winchester College and the Cathedral or by the river through the tranquil water meadows.
Brymer House was established in 1996 and has featured since in all of Alastair Sawdays’s editions of “Special Places to Stay” – British Bed & Breakfast and in which it is quoted - “Complete privacy in a B&B is rare. Here you have it, and just a 12-minute walk from the centre of town, Cathedral and water meadows. Relax in your own half of a Victorian townhouse immaculately furnished and decorated, and with a garden to match – all lilac and roses in the spring. Breakfasts are sumptuous and there is a log fire in the guest’s sitting room and fresh flowers abound. An ‘honesty box’ means you may help yourselves to drinks.
The double bedroom and cosy twin bedroom are elegant, with lovely big antique mirrors, bedspreads and furniture; the ensuite bathrooms are warm and spotless. Fizzy and Guy have charmed Special Places guests for many years.”
