Gambledown lies just 5 miles from the New Forest National Park and the county of Wiltshire. This 270-acre farm dates back to 1875, home to shorthorn beef cattle that calve in April. The site and its accommodation, Canvas Lodge and Fills Lodge, host spectacular views over the farm, the Hampshire Downs and the Wiltshire plains.
The Farm is situated down a mile-long private road which means the site offers peace, quiet, and stunning views, plus a safe haven for children, who can explore the fields, woodland and a beautiful living willow tunnel. Children will also love the children's play area within a large covered space, kids' tractor ride, giant chalk board, swings, ping pong & swing ball. There is a new football and rugby field too. Badminton pitches are also available. During your stay make sure you pay a visit the resident horse, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs, and in the spring more than 30 new calves! In the spring, you can help the farmer bottle feed the newly born lambs.
Gambledown offers home from home comforts with wash facilities, cosy accommodation and cooking facilities. A wood-fire pizza cooker can be used by all guests and home-reared beef is available to purchase from the farm.
Planning a day out is easy with the New Forest nearby and its diverse walking, cycling routes, mountain bike trails, top family attractions and picturesque little villages. A 10-minute drive from the farm you'll also find Woodington Trout Fishery the National Trust Mottisfont Abbey.
