New Forest Walking and Cycling Festival
The New Forest Walking and Cycling Festival will return in Autumn 2024. Thank you to all those who were involved in another successful year!
We have a great collection of guided walks and cycles to suit all interests and abilities, covering topics such as wildlife, photography, archaeology, forest bathing, Nordic walking and many more. Guided walk listings are available by clicking on the Festival logo. For guided cycle rides and bike rentals please contact the suppliers directly.
Why not book a guided cycle ride with New Forest Cycling Tours or New Forest Bikes? All the cycle tours during the Festival can be tailored for beginners which means short distances, electric bikes and plenty of stops.
For a self-guided experience, you could rent a bike and explore the permissive cycle trails. See Forestry England’s cycle map for a free trail map download.
- Cyclexperience in Brockenhurst is offering 20% discount on bike rentals during the Festival period. Use code FESTIVAL23 for a 20% online discount.
- Figgures in Lymington is one of the oldest cycle shops in the New Forest. Mention the Festival to get a 10% discount on bike rentals.
- Jaunt-E bikes have a suite of very fun e-bikes which are perfect for a jaunt along the seawall. To celebrate the launch of the ‘Coastal Birds, Bikes and Binoculars’ E-bike safari, use discount code FESTIVAL23 for 10% off. In addition, any Bike-n-brunch bookings made during the Festival will be upgraded from a half day to a full day.
If you need help getting into the saddle, inclusive cycling charity PEDALL is offering confidence rides on two-wheeled bikes, including e-bikes. They also have an extensive range of specialist cycles, developed for people with additional needs.
When out in the Forest, please follow the New Forest code.
