On the morning of Pride and Prejudice Day, join us for an exclusive, early-morning tour of Jane Austen’s House.  We’ll be unlocking doors, opening shutters and letting sunshine into the darkened rooms. Join us for a curatorial journey as we dust, polish and check that everything is in order to start the day. Along the way, we’ll share secrets and stories of this extraordinary house through the ages.

In celebration of the publication of Pride and Prejudice on 28 January 1813, this tour will have a Pride and Prejudice twist! Hear stories about the inspiration, publication and reception of Pride and Prejudice as we explore the rooms where it was revised for publication and where Jane read aloud from her first published copy.

After the tour, you’ll enjoy a light breakfast of toasted English muffins and tea – just as Jane used to do!
