One of the largest and finest Christmas festivals on the south coast returns to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to mark 20 years of magical festive fun.
The much-anticipated Victorian Christmas Festival returns between 29 November and 1 December and will transport you to the late nineteeth-century, transforming the cobbled dockyard into a lively harbour side market full of colourful stalls, familiar characters and hair-raising circus performances.
Browse over 100 stalls under the shadow of HMS Victory for the perfect hand-crafted stocking filler, sip mulled wine and tuck into traditional festive treats in this unique setting.
Spread the Christmas cheer and enjoy over 100 performers in costume roaming the dockyard, with a host of beloved characters including Scrooge, Queen Victoria, and even St Nick in traditional green robes. Wonder at this year's new additions including an incredible line-up of circus acts to astonish with heart-stopping stunts and performances. Don't miss sensational new stages including Ring leader Harrington's Grand Stage, Madam Luella's dancing girls, Devine's Side Show, the Jamboree Stage and Festival Place.
Kick off Christmas onboard Portsmouth Historic Dockyard's amazing historic ships and in the museums including the Victorian marvel – HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose museum.
Of course, no Christmas festival would be complete without a visitor from the North Pole. For an additional fee, aspiring elves will be able to visit Father Christmas' grotto to receive a special festive gift and meet the man himself (additional fee applies).
Tickets can be purchased online from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard's website.
