Win a family ticket to Science Explained: Myth-busting Creatures family evening event at Winchester Science Centre on Thursday 1st June 2023

Can snakes smell fear? There’s lots of popular myths about the creatures around us. Come and find out what is science fact and what is science fiction when it comes to some of our most misunderstood creatures on.

Meet snakes, tarantulas, lizards and cockroaches that have been given a bad name due to long-believed myths. Interact with and find out more about these unique creatures before taking a seat in the Planetarium to demystify the stories around them. If you crush a cockroach do you really spread its eggs? How does it rain frogs? How do gecko feet work? Animal encounter experts, ZooLab, will be taking you on a myth-busting creature journey that the whole family will enjoy.

This family fun evening event takes place on Thursday 1st June 2023 from 6pm until 8.30pm at Winchester Science and we’ve got one family ticket worth £70 to give away.

• The prize is a family ticket for 2 adults and 3 children to Winchester Science Centre's Science Explained: Myth-Busting Creature on Thursday 1st June at 6pm until 8.30pm.
• The winner will be selected from entrants who follow Visit Hampshire and Winchester Science Centre, tag a friend and comment with a snake emoji. The winner will have entered the competition by closing date.
• The competition is not open to Hampshire County Council or Winchester Science Centre's staff or their immediate family.
• Multiple entries per person are permitted for the competition and all entrants must be 18 or over.
• Competition is only open to UK residents.
• All travel costs, meals and incidentals are not included within the competition prize.
• Prize must be used on Thursday 1st June and cannot be exchanged for another date. 
• Entries for the competition close 11.59pm Sunday 28^th June 2023 and a winner will be chosen at random and contacted on Monday 29^th June 2023.
• The ticket cannot be resold, exchanged, and has no monetary value. The ticket is for the named winner only.
