This oh so elegant two bedroom holiday home for four guests can be found at the end of a mile-long drive into the woods of The New Forest National Park near Burley. It’s a place to reconnect with nature, spy on wildlife sauntering outside the window and slip, very easily, straight into holiday mode.

Having been newly refurbished, the owners have created a super stylish countryside escape, blending classic English character without compromising on the all-important comfort factor. High ceilings, an impressively large and decorative fireplace housing a log burner for winter nights, set the tone. Tongue and groove walls, wood panelling and carefully chosen artwork are layered with colour and textures to create a beautiful home you’ll enjoy every season of the year.

French windows open onto a private patio for easy outdoor dining, or simply sit with a glass of something cold in hand. Spend afternoons on walks alongside the forest’s famous free-roaming ponies, deer and cattle. And there’s a lily-filled lake alive with dragonflies, birds and underwater life in the grounds.

Wight Lodge can be booked together with neighbouring Kingfisher Cottage and Horseshoe Cottage, together sleeping up to 10 guests.
