Hampshire Breweries & Distilleries

Hampshire is home to a multitude of breweries and some very famous distilleries too including the world-famous Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery. 

Hampshire microbreweries 

Come and try the real ales brewed up at the different Hampshire microbreweries. Some of Hampshire’s breweries offer tap rooms; where you can sample the different flavours and seasonal offerings.  

Brewery shops will sell bottles, cans and often casks (if you have a big party or special occasion). Look out for those that run brewery tours or guided tasting sessions and get to know more about the brewing process and what makes that particular brewery’s beer so distinctive. Steam Town Brew Co in Eastleigh also regularly combines its railway-themed beers with music nights and other events.  

For a more unusual experience go on board the real ale train on the Watercress Line which serves ale from a restored bar carriage pulled by a steam locomotive.

For all you gin lovers, explore the world-famous Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery on an exclusive tour and go behind the scenes and learn how to make the perfect gin cocktail in one of their cocktail making master classes. The beautiful Laverstoke Mill makes the perfect setting for this distillery and whether you choose a guided or self-guided tour – you will find out lots about how this gin in its iconic bottles is produced.
