Throughout the year the Test Valley has a jam packed programme of exciting events for all ages to enjoy, from food festivals, music events, children’s activities and motorsport events you will be spoilt for choice.

Events in Romsey

The market town of Romsey in the southern end of the Test Valley is well known for its foodie markets, Beggars Fair and Christmas lantern celebrations. Once a month you’ll find Hampshire Farmers’ market in the town centre selling a variety of local produce.

In July the popular Beggar’s fair takes place with live music, dance and street entertainment. Expect to see and hear over 100 acts spread across 25 venues and all for free! The Romsey Food Festival is not to be missed in September, as well as the Romsey Show which takes place in Broadlands on the outskirts of the town.

At Christmas, Romsey offers a number of festive treats including the Christmas Light Switch On and Christmas Parade, the Christmas Lantern Parade and Carols in Romsey Market Place.

Events in Andover

Andover offers a number of family friendly events throughout the year including Four Fun Fridays, which takes place every Friday in August offering a series of performances, workshops, street theatre and heritage tours.

If you are interested in cycling take part in the Andover Criterion Cycling Race or join in the atmosphere as a spectator.

The Lights Theatre in Andover town centre offers a programme of activities, workshops and performances throughout the year for all ages.

Are you a petrol head? On the outskirts of Andover is the famous Thruxton Motorsport Centre which hosts a number of popular motorsport events including the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Events in Stockbridge  

Located in the centre of the Test Valley this small picturesque town offers a number of events throughout the year. During the summer the town comes alive for the Trout n About Festival. This one day event celebrates the town’s local food, produce and crafts.
