Carrington Farmhouse (sleeps eight, and dog-friendly) is a Grade II listed holiday home in the seaside foodie village of Milford on Sea. Within a few minutes' walk are a selection of fantastic places to eat, drink and shop in artisan and independent stores. This carefully restored and spacious house combines subtle period details with a contemporary country style, creating a home that radiates lots of character and comfort with painted panelling, flagstone floors, and exposed beams. The formal lounge has plump sofas for film nights, while the sun room offers another space to sit with a coffee in peace and quiet or a place for the kids to hang out. A beamed dining room comes with a wood-burning stove, and the farmhouse kitchen is fully kitted out to whip up dinner. Four bedrooms arranged as two king-size and two doubles promise blissful sleep, and the bathrooms include a rainfall shower and a roll-top bath.
Outside, the garden provides room for children and dogs to play, alfresco dining, or a celebratory fizz at sunset – a perfect finishing touch.
