The unique and beautifully painted gypsy caravan or rustic shepherds hut will offer you the quirky glamping experience you and your partner or family are looking for. Snuggled into a woodland area in Fernwood Glamping's garden, overlooking the fields behind where deer and rabbits are frequently seen. It is hard to believe you are only minutes from the friendly market town of Ringwood, on the edge of the New Forest.
The hut / gypsy van is comfortable for two but can be used by a family of four as there is an additional bed suitable for smaller children (aged approximately 4 -10 years as it is only 5 feet long). Fernwood Glamping charge 10 pounds for each younger guest per night and will provide a sleeping bag with integral pillow and a towel.
Most guests use fairy lights and tea lights (although Fernwood Glamping do provide an LED lantern and light in case you want to read). They have recently added a double plug socket. There is a small wood burner, which makes the whole hut toasty warm in a few minutes and even after you let it die down, it will continue to keep you warm over night as they are both well insulated. Fernwood Glamping provide you with a basket of wood, which you can use inside or on the chiminea outside as you sit and enjoy the sunset (perhaps even toast marshmallows!).
There is a beautiful octagonal thatched summer house with decking that overlaps the pond. There are no fish so it has been naturally colonised by local wildlife including dragonflies, frogs and newts. There are power points in here and you are welcome to make yourself a hot drink (tea and coffee making facilities are provided).
Fernwood Glamping have built a compost toilet for their guests. With accessories in bright colours - fairy lights, funky toilet seats, voile curtains, a cold water tap and a hand sanitiser, they are sure this will get more use than their traditional toilet in the garage block.
Guests are also welcome to use the shower room and Fernwood Glamping provide towels and two towelling robes for your use during your stay.
