About
New Place is the ideal escape, in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. The stunning hotel, wedding and conference venue in Southampton was designed by celebrated architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens and features landscaped gardens by Thomas Mawson, with input from Gertrude Jekyll.
Ornate wrought-iron gates welcome you to the historic venue, ideally situated just 11 miles from Southampton and 12 miles from Portsmouth city centres. The main Grade 1 listed house is home to the Manor House restaurant and Lutyens Bar; with 110 modern bedrooms, relaxing leisure facilities and excellent conference rooms adjoining. More than just a hotel, the 33-flexible conference spaces include the latest audio-visual equipment and free Wi-Fi, offering fantastic opportunities to engage delegates and make meetings memorable.
The restaurant and meeting menus at New Place focus on delicious British and internationally-inspired dishes, using local and seasonal produce. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the Garden Room or on the picturesque terrace, overlooking the wooden tree house, cricket pitch and croquet lawn. The grounds also feature a charming woodland trail, perfect for morning runs, family adventures and dog walks, with ample space to unwind.
