With uninterrupted views across Southsea Common and the Solent, The Queens Hotel is one of the most iconic features of the local landscape.

This landmark Edwardian building has stood in Southsea for more than 118 years. It’s just minutes away from Southsea shopping area and a short seaside walk from Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard, so you’ll be sure to have plenty to see and do.

The Queens Hotel is home to the exquisite Restaurant 1865 and the relaxing Dukes Bar, both of which serve food all day – from a full English breakfast to a three-course dinner. Why not try the famous Sunday roast while enjoying the sounds of live jazz, or treat yourself to a luxurious afternoon tea, all set within Edwardian refinement. In warmer weather, you can also dine on the hotel’s verandah or in the newly designed garden, which hosts the ever-popular Sunday Sessions throughout the summer.

At the hotel, you will find newly refurbished rooms, many of which boast spectacular panoramic views over the Solent. The rooms are striking, full of personality and with an air of elegance. Each of the 70 rooms are unique and individually designed, making comfort the top priority.

Full of traditional English charm, The Queens Hotel is a stunning wedding venue by the sea. From the beautiful Elizabeth room to the chic Royal Suite, the hotel has a number of spaces available and is happy to host a wide range of events. There is also a dedicated events team who will ensure that your special occasion is one to remember.
