Hayling CBK Island kitesurfing school and the kitesurf shop have been established for 10 years now. However with the introduction of the kitesurf club this now allows all three core activities to be co-ordinated under one organisation. Hayling Island CBK Kitesurfing Club offer you the chance learn to kitesurf from scratch, receive advice and advantageous pricing on both new and second hand equipment, and also to be a member of a kitesurf club where safety facilities are a constant on the beach when the wind blows, and where they look to provide members with significantly increased kitesurfing opportunities in offshore wind conditions too.
Kitesurfing is the fastest growing water sport in the world, and is based on technique rather than strength. This is encouraging a wide range of people to learn to kitesurf – from youngsters of 12 upwards to pensioners, and both male and female. But it is still an extreme sport, and safety must be a paramount consideration. The vision for CBK is to create the best kitesurfing club in the UK, improving safety on the beach, improving access times in all wind conditions, and improving club facilities for the members.
Chris Bull's school at Hayling is longest running kitesurf centre in the UK. It was originally set up in 1999 under the name of Hayling Island Kitesurf School, before more recently coming under the new CBK brand, to include the shop and the club.
All instructors are fully qualified under the IKO, BKSA and CBK instructor schemes.
Chris Bull designed the BKSA youth coaching standard, and continues his commitment in CBK by providing subsidised training courses and memberships for under 18s.
CBK have the most experienced team of instructors of any school in the UK, which allows them to offer a superior level of tuition and coaching from absolute beginners through to experienced experts. They can provide approved tuition on West Beach not only for kitesurfing, but also for power kiting, kite land boarding, stand up paddle boarding and wakeboarding.
