About
A Peaceful Pause in December – Forest Bathing at West Walk
Step away from the festive rush and into the quiet calm of the winter woods.
This gentle, mindful walk offers a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature during one of the busiest times of year. As the forest settles into stillness, we'll take time to breathe, reflect, and find space in the simplicity of the season.
Whether you're seeking rest, clarity, or just a moment of peace—this is your invitation to embrace winter's quiet magic.
What is Forest Bathing?
Also known as Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing is a mindful, sensory practice of slowly walking through the forest while using all your senses to connect deeply with the natural world. Through simple sensory exercises, you'll engage with the woods in a fresh way—perhaps noticing details and sensations you've never experienced before.
Potential Health Benefits include:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Lowered blood pressure
Boosted immune system
Improved mood and mental clarity
Better sleep and overall sense of wellbeing
During the session, you'll also learn some of the fascinating science behind how time spent in ancient woodland supports your mental, physical, and emotional health.
By the end, you'll take home practical tools to bring calm, clarity, and mindfulness into your daily life—plus a renewed sense of connection to yourself and the natural world.
No experience is necessary. The only requirement is to come with an open mind.
Booking is essential via the website. Availability is limited to keep group sizes purposely small.
