Making use of store cupboard ingredients and households items, award-winning BBC science communicator Jon Chase proves science isn't limited to high-tech laboratories in this fun demo-led family show series. Jon's unique style is dynamic, entertaining and highly memorable. Enjoy a show as part of a full day out at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium.
Show tickets cost £1 on top of general admission. Live shows at 11:00, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30 on Saturday and at 11:00, 12:30 and 14:00 . Shows last for approximately 30 minutes. Recommended for children age 8+, although all ages are very welcome to attend.
About Jon Chase
Jon Chase, winner of the 2017 Josh Award for science communication, is an author, science communicator, presenter, science rapper and educational entertainer.
Jon Chase completed an honours degree in Aerospace Engineering he then gained a BSc in Science and Science Fiction and a Masters degree in Communicating Science. He has an intense passion for scientific thinking and believes that knowledge should be made available in a way that allows as many people as possible the opportunity to gain access to it. Jon's presenting work includes CBBC Space Hoppers, Street Science for the Open University, and a one hour Bitesize Science programme for BBC Learning. His raps also finish off each episode of CBBC Space Hoppers, as well as featuring on CBeebies Rhyme Rocket and are included amongst the Bitesize science online learning resources.

Enjoy full access to the Centre's two floors of hands-on interactive science exhibits, the Invention Studio and the outdoor picnic and play area. There's also direct access from Winchester Science Centre to Magdalen Hill Butterfly Conservation reserve for those who want to experience views across the South Downs National Park.
No visit would be complete without experiencing an immersive 360 degree fulldome show the planetarium (additional tickets required).

Show tickets cost £1 per person on top of general admission. Children age 0-2 free of charge if sitting on lap. Advance booking recommended.
This event will take place in the Space Marquee. Doors open 15 minutes prior to advertised show time.
