Glittering Christmas trees, handcrafted decorations and plenty of festive sparkle await on the ground floor of the house as The Vyne brings the much-loved Twelve Days of Christmas carol to life.

Throughout the house, many of the playful decorations have been lovingly handcrafted by The Vyne's volunteers, helping bring extra charm and personality to the festive displays.

Outside, families aged 2+ can enjoy a festive Christmas Garden Trail featuring ten fun-packed games inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas. Leap like a lord over hurdles, join the ladies dancing, help the maids milk a cow, return the partridge to the pear tree, wheelbarrow golden eggs back to Mother Goose and discover plenty more playful challenges along the way. There are also festive photo opportunities throughout the trail, making it perfect for family snapshots.

Indoors, visitors can play a free game of Christmas Bingo while spotting the famous gifts and characters woven throughout the decorations. From dramatically illuminated paper dresses and uniform-clad drummers to elegant swans and even a life-size cow, there's plenty to discover and tick off during your visit.

Begin your journey in the Stone Gallery, where you can dress up in a smart uniform and pose for a photograph alongside the twelve drummers drumming and eleven pipers piping. Continue into the Further Drawing Room to meet ten charming frogs, each sporting a waistcoat as they leap between lily pads.

In the Large Drawing Room, feast your eyes on nine spectacular illuminated paper dresses, meticulously handcrafted by artist Jennifer Collier. Their dramatic forms create a striking festive centrepiece.

A life-size cow and rustic milk churns add a playful touch in the vestibule, while the Saloon celebrates the geese a-laying and swans a-swimming.

Discover oversized golden eggs nestled among festive decorations and a graceful procession of swans displayed along a shimmering blue river. Look closely and you'll also spot handcrafted geese and swans adorning the trees.

The Dining Parlour showcases a whimsical interpretation of five gold rings, offering an unexpected take on one of the carol's most recognisable gifts. Nearby, opulent peacocks peek from twinkling trees in the Ante Chapel.

In the Old Kitchen, three patchwork hens perch beside a vibrant community art installation, while in the Housekeeper's Room, two turtle doves nestle in a wreath above the fireplace as hearts are dotted throughout the room.

Round off your visit in the Bookshop, where a cuddly partridge and a Christmas tree festooned with crocheted pears provide the finale to this cherished Christmas classic. Free event. Normal admission applies.
