About
At Waterfront House in Hythe, the floor-to-ceiling windows over Southampton Water take centre stage with a non-stop performance of sailors and captains guiding their vessels and impressively large cruise ships out to sea. The living, moving views of mariner life drifting past the window make this lovely holiday home the perfect pad for a relaxing break for five guests, every season of the year.
The ground-floor kitchen/diner opens to an enclosed, prettily planted and paved garden with a gate onto a path bordering the foreshore. It’s a lovely spot for outdoor meals and a morning coffee. Upstairs, the first-floor very spacious lounge is bathed in natural daylight, and there’s an electric log burner as a focal point on dark, winter nights.
The layout includes an ensuite master bedroom, a smaller room for a babe in arms or an office, plus a twin and single room on the top floor with a family bathroom.
Just minutes on foot is Hythe's Georgian high street and restaurant-packed marina development. It’s also a quick waterside walk to the Grade II listed Pier, where you can ride the electric train, which runs a colossal 640 metres.
