The lively market town of Fareham lies halfway between the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth. It combines a High Street made up of characterful, historical buildings and a modern pedestrianised central shopping area.

On your visit to Fareham, you'll find around 300 shops, plentiful cafes, restaurants and pubs, a wide range of business services and a lively entertainment scene, there is plenty to enjoy. Within easy access of the motorway, there are so many things to do in Fareham with a great mix of modern attractions with an important historical architectural background.  

Fareham's Markets

Fareham offers one of the best traditional open-air markets in the region. Up to 50 stalls can be found in West Street precinct every Monday throughout the year, from 9am to 3pm (including all public holidays).

Fareham Farmers' Markets

One of the best things to do in Fareham is to check out the Farmers’ Markets. The town has been hosting its own independent Farmers' Markets since 1998, located in West Street precinct. At these well-established and popular markets you'll find up to 40 local farmers selling their freshly grown produce on the first Saturday of the month throughout the year (from 9am to 2pm). There are also special seasonal Farmers' Markets on Easter Saturday and the Saturday before Christmas.

Fareham Gardeners' Markets

These are held annually on the second Saturday in May and June in West Street. These popular markets draw big crowds who like to purchase the pick of the season's plants from local growers.

Fareham Shopping Centre

A bright and airy undercover shopping centre offering approximately 80 high street names, including Boots and Next. Well worth a visit on your next visit to Fareham.
