February is prime snowdrop season and there are plenty of pretty places to see those stunning blankets of white flowers in Hampshire – here are five of our fave places to see snowdrops in Hampshire.

Gilbert White’s House, Selborne
Gilbert White’s House & Gardens has such a stunning display of snowdrops in its 18th century landscape garden that it holds an annual celebratory snowdrop weekend. This year it takes place on the 14 and 15 February 2026 with half price admission to the house and gardens across the weekend.
Chawton House, Alton
Chawton House holds dedicated Snowdrop Sundays in February for visitors to take in the carpets of pretty white buds popping up in the grounds.
Mottisfont, Romsey
From late January, hundreds of snowdrops decorate Mottisfont’s river walk in the garden. Follow Mottisfont’s Snowdrops and Winter Scents Walk through the snowy clusters to get maximum enjoyment of the beautiful winter scenes.
Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey
Sir Harold Hillier Gardens has over 20 different varieties of snowdrops dotted throughout one of the largest winter gardens in Europe.
Hinton Ampner, Alresford
Hinton Ampner’s glorious parkland is a joy to explore at any time of year and in February you’ll find beautiful scatterings of snowdrops on the garden lawn. Further afield, Hinton Ampner’s four-mile Dutton Estate Walk meanders through the magnificent country estate.
Furzey Gardens, New Forest
Opening from 14 February, Furzey Gardens, on the edge of the New Forest National Park has a beautiful display of these dainty flowers - as well as the arrival of other spring flowers.
Beaulieu, New Forest
The Wilderness Garden beside Beaulieu's Palace House is carpetted with snowdrops in early spring. Take in the views from the Mill Pond Walk.
