About
Welcome to Birdworld!
Nestled just outside Farnham on the Hampshire-Surrey border, Birdworld is home to over 1,000 birds, including playful penguins, flamboyant flamingos, chatty parrots, and wise owls. Whether you’re here to marvel at our colourful residents or unleash some energy in our amazing play areas, there’s fun to be had for all ages—rain or shine! Feed the penguins at Penguin Beach, dive into the Owl Academy for an interactive adventure, explore Wetland Waders, or immerse yourself in the vibrant Love + Colour exhibit.
Treetop Adventures – Now Open!
Our new outdoor playground, Treetop Adventures, invites children to explore nature from a fresh perspective. With rope nets, bridges, raised walkways and giant bird nests, there's plenty of space for woodland adventures. Open year-round, the playground offers hands-on play, climbing structures, and even an interactive wet-play area where kids can channel water to fill the Bird Baths!
A Day of Fun and Conservation
We’re passionate about conservation. With 40% of our bird species endangered, your visit can support our Birdworld Conservation Fund, helping protect our incredible feathered friends. With The Play Barn (indoor play) coming in Winter '25 and a full range of activities for all ages, Birdworld is the perfect place to learn, play, and discover! The fun never ends at Birdworld!
Indoor Play
Whatever the weather, children love to connect with nature. That’s why the woodland world has been brought inside The Play Barn. It’s all adventure and exploration away from the elements. Scamper along rope bridges. Peep down through suspended nets. Swoosh down slides and poles. It’s immersive, imaginative play that’s full of possibility and discovery. Those feeling less spritely can find a perch for something to eat or drink, whilst keeping a beady yet benevolent eye on the goings-on.
