Road Directions
On Saturday, it is recommended to use Winchester’s Park & Ride facilities for stress-free parking. There are four sites around the city, served by frequent buses. A full day’s parking is usually £3.50, with cheaper “off-peak” rates after 10.30am. If you’d rather park closer: - Several pay & display and multi-storey car parks are within walking distance of the festival site (e.g. Tower Street, Chesil Street, Middle Brook Street, Durngate).
- On-street parking is available in many areas — typical charges are £1.90 for 1 hour (Mon–Sat) in streets like Andover Road, Victoria Road, Upper High Street.
- For those arriving by train (or wishing to park near the station), the Winchester Railway Station car park is available with hourly/24h rates. You can also pre-book nearby spaces via JustPark.
Although Winchester’s Park & Ride car parks remain open 7 days a week, the bus service does not run on Sundays or public holidays — so on those days you won’t be able to use them as shuttle parks.
Public Transport Directions
Buses:
Park & Ride: The Park & Ride service operates from South Park and stops at North Walls which is only a short walk to the venue.
Buses: Stagecoach runs buses from Winchester to Romsey, Alresford, Eastleigh, Petersfield, Bishop’s Waltham, Whitchurch and many surrounding villages and suburbs. Bluestar No. 1 service leaves Southampton City Centre (stop CU Hanover Buildings) approximately every 20 minutes. The journey takes 50 minutes to Winchester Bus Station
Train:
Train: From Winchester station, North Walls Recreation Ground is 0.5 miles walk via Stockbridge Rd, North Walls and then Park Avenue. A map of the route can be seen here. See link below for information relating to South Western Railway.
Coaches:
National Express coaches come into the Park and Ride East car park.
