This year's Winchester Speakers' Festival, which takes place on the 3rd and 4th June 2017 at the Discovery Centre in Jewry Street, Winchester and brings together some of the UK's most interesting speakers.
The line-up includes:
Kate Adie, the celebrated BBC foreign correspondent, speaking about the most influential books she has read. In her career she has covered everything from the SAS's rescue operation from the Iranian Embassy in 1980 to Miss World.
Nick Clegg, the former Deputy Prime Minister, reporting on politics 'between the extremes.'
Sir Malcolm Rifkind explaining his memoirs of 18 years as a Minister.
Dan Cruickshank, the BBC presenter, telling the history of his neighbourhood in London – Spitalfields and in doing so giving the story of England in miniature.
Dan Hannan , the key Brexiteer and former MEP, explains what happens next after Brexit and how to get the best from it.
Chris Mullin , the prominent former Labour MP and Minister, tells his story of the Blair years and beyond.
Iby Knill, the Auschwitz survivor and female Hungarian resistance fighter, explains her memoirs and the lessons to be learned.
