About
In the village of East End, where New Forest ponies, donkeys, and cattle wander freely, is Moonfleet Cottage. A large yet graceful country home that feels made for gathering friends and family. You’ll find it at the end of a private track and cocooned by gardens alive with birdsong and woodland wildlife.
There are two super comfy sitting rooms, each balancing traditional charm with plenty of room to spread out. One is wrapped around a vast inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, the other with shelves of books and plump sofas.
The kitchen shines with traditional character with an Aga, terracotta floor tiles and a central island to stand around with a glass of wine or a cuppa.
While the dining room looks out to the garden, it sets the stage for leisurely suppers and a board game or two, or three. A study/playroom completes the downstairs. And upstairs, four large bedrooms are beautifully styled - two come with their own ensuite shower rooms.
Beyond the house, lawns dotted with fruit trees and flower borders roll out from a generous terrace with seating and a gas barbecue, perfect for grilling up tasty finds from the farm shop and summer evenings under inky black skies.
Moonfleet Cottage sleeps eight guests and welcomes two dogs.
