Longstock Park Water Garden on the Leckford Estate opens its Water Garden for charity during the year between April – September. The open days benefit local charities in and around Hampshire. Charities can apply for one of the openings by visiting the Leckford Estate website and following the links to the Water Garden.
The Garden's international reputation means that there are also requests for visits from horticultural societies around the world. The Garden is looked after by a dedicated team throughout the year. There is access for wheelchair users and young families. Some areas of the garden can become slippery and wet underfoot during wet weather.
Once you've visited the water garden there is still a great deal more to see. Take a walk up through Longstock Park’s fine arboretum to Longstock Park farm shop, café & nursery. The café and farm shop sit within a stylish and comfortable oak framed building which is located on the outskirts of Longstock village and alongside the beautiful surroundings of Longstock Park. In addition there is a plant Nursery and walled garden. Visit the farm shop for local food and gifts before heading to the Nursery where you will find a large selection of plants and stylish garden ware.
The Nursery holds the national collection of Buddleja and Clematis and visitors can see the stunning collection during the season that sits within the walled garden alongside an 80m herbaceous border.
