The New Forest was home to William the Conqueror’s hunting grounds and Lyndhurst became his natural capital for the New Forest. This quaint but bustling village is in the heart of New Forest and has beautiful surroundings.
The Lyndhurst Parish Circular Walk is beautiful 13.5 KM route that navigates the parish boundary. Taking between 3-4 hours to complete and longer if you get tempted by one of the pubs or tea shops in and around Lyndhurst.
The walk starts and finishes at the New Forest’s iconic Bolton’s Bench where you will be welcomed by the wild ponies. Bolton’s Bench is also a great place for picnic or a kick about.
The Lyndhurst Parish Circular Walk is not only a fantastic walk, there are some great pubs on the route for you to stop by for a pint or some great food.

Car parking: There is a car park in the village which is also the start point of the walk.
Places to eat: The Crown Stirrup, Oak Inn and New Forest Inn
