About
The Potting Shed can be found in the peaceful grounds of the privately owned Trafalgar Park estate on the border of the New Forest National Park and Wiltshire.
This single-storey holiday hideaway sleeps five guests and up to two dogs. It’s a place where you can easily slip into holiday mode surrounded by sweeping lawns, ancient trees, birdsong and woodland wildlife.
There’s a mill pond where guests can enjoy some wild swimming, and it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the famous fishing chalk streams of the Avon River and the incredibly picturesque Avon Valley Path, where kingfishers, dragonflies and wild otters play. From your door are circular walks and easy trips to great foodie pubs and shops, as well as a posse of attractions.
Inside, the open-plan living space is perfect for ‘together time’, with a log-burner and plump sofas for cosy evenings on frosty nights. In the warmer months, huge bi-fold doors open the kitchen/dining wall onto a decked terrace with far-reaching views over the grounds, and dining furniture for al fresco meals. There’s also a second garden at the front of the home, laid out as a lawn with a patio and additional seating.
The Potting Shed shares a courtyard setting with The Orangery and Trafalgar Cottage, which can be booked together to sleep up to 17 guests.
