On the hunt to find the best looking pumpkin to carve for Halloween? Or looking to cook up a storm with some pumpkin themed dishes? Hampshire has a number of pumpkin picking farms open this autumn for you and your family to pick your own pumpkins straight from the field.

Pumkin Pastures, Fordingbridge

Fordingbridge Pumpkin Pastures are a family run pick your own pumpkin fields. Located on the A338 Fordingbridge slip road, the farm have planted 50,000 seeds and around 30 varieties of pumpkin and squah over their 10 acres. As well as pumpkin picking enjoy craft activities and pick up pumpkin recipes to take home. See Pumpkin Pasture's website for further details.


Sunnyfields Farm, Totton

Sunnyfields have grown thousands of pumpkins for you to choose from: massive ones, warty ones, white ones, blue ones, little munchkins and of course lots of orange ones. As well as pumpkin picking the Sunnyfields has a special area where you can carve your pumpkin or enjoy some great local food from the "Pumpkin Cafe".


Pickwell Farm, Southampton

For pumpkin picking near Southampton head to Pickwell Farm. Located on the outskirts of the city of Southampton, Pickwell invites you to don your wellies and head out into their fields to find this year’s pumpkin. Be quick though as once the pumpkins have gone they’re gone. Check Pickwell’s Facebook page for regular updates of pumpkin availability.


Rogate Pumpkin Patch

Rogate Pumpkin Patch sis half way between Midhurst and Petersfield on the A272 and offers a very rustic and beautiful experience during at Halloween. All the pumpkins on the patch are planted in June and ready for harvest in October. There is lots of pumpkin fun with smash a pumpkin, pumpkin skittles, decorate a pumpkin, sling a pumpkin, corn blaster and spooky slime making.


Durleighmarsh Farm, Petersfield

Set in beautiful countryside on the Hampshire/Sussex border, a stone’s throw from Petersfield, Durleighmarsh Farm with its family-run farm shop and pick your own. As well as pumkins for picking they offer a number of ready picked pumpkins available from the farm shop.


Cat and Fiddle Farm, New Forest

Looking for pumpkin picking in the New Forest National Park? Pay a visit to Cat and Fiddle Farm’s pumpkin fields. From small to large they have a number of pumpkins ready to be picked and wheelbarrows are available to hire to help get your autumn pumpkin haul back to the car. A special pumpkin party takes place with picking, carving, music and local food and drink, see Cat and Fiddle's website for further details.
