On the hunt to find the best looking pumpkin to carve for Halloween? Or looking to cook up a storm with some pumpkin themed dishes? Hampshire has several pumpkin picking farms open this autumn for you and your family to pick your own pumpkins straight from the field.

Sunnyfields Farm, Southampton

Sunnyfields have grown thousands of pumpkins for you to choose from: massive ones, warty ones, white ones, blue ones, little munchkins and of course lots of orange ones. Pumpkin time at Sunnyfields Farm will be different in 2020, although it will still be one of wondrous displays, amazing pumpkin varieties and of course the opportunity for you to pick YOUR pumpkin (even at night!). Tickets must be pre-booked in advance. Rogate Pumpkin Patch

Rogate Pumpkin Patch is halfway between Midhurst and Petersfield on the A272 and offers a very rustic and beautiful experience during at Halloween. All the pumpkins on the patch are planted in June and ready for harvest in October. Due to this year’s Pandemic, Rogate Pumpkin Patch have had to simplify the usual Halloween/Pumpkin event. Still giving the children a wonderful outdoor autumn experience, they have worked hard in creating a Covid-19 compliant pick your own pumpkin autumn outdoor experience with some Halloween touches. Ticket only entry and tickets must be prebooked in advance. For more information please see Rogate Pumpkin Patch's website.

Pumkin Pastures, Fordingbridge

Fordingbridge Pumpkin Pastures are a family run pick your own pumpkin field. Located on the A338 Fordingbridge slip road, the farm has planted 50,000 seeds and around 30 varieties of pumpkin and squash over their 10 acres. As well as pumpkin picking you can enjoy craft activities and pick up pumpkin recipes to take home. Durleighmarsh Farm, Petersfield

Set in beautiful countryside on the Hampshire/Sussex border, a stone’s throw from Petersfield, Durleighmarsh Farm is a family-run farm shop and pick your own. As well as pumpkins for picking they offer ready picked pumpkins available from the farm shop.

Pickwell Farm, Southampton

For pumpkin picking near Southampton head to Pickwell Farm. Located on the outskirts of the city of Southampton, Pickwell invites you to don your wellies and head out into their fields to find this year’s pumpkin. Be quick though as once the pumpkins have gone, they are gone. Check Pickwell’s Facebook page for regular updates of pumpkin availability.

Cat and Fiddle Farm, New Forest

Looking for pumpkin picking in the New Forest National Park? Pay a visit to Cat and Fiddle Farm’s pumpkin fields. From small to large they have many pumpkins ready to be picked and wheelbarrows are available to hire to help get your autumn pumpkin haul back to the car. A special pumpkin party takes place with picking, carving, music and local food and drink, see Cat and Fiddle's website for further details.

Pumpkin Picking Patch, Fordingbridge 

The whole family is welcome at Fordingbridge's Halloween spectacular! Entry is FREE and you will find over 25,000 pumpkins in every shape and size. Let your creative talents run wild with the crafts and fill up with seasonal food and drink.
