A favourite autumn pastime, every October pumpkins pop up across the county ripe for the picking and ready to take home to decorate for Halloween or to conjure up pumpkin-themed recipes.
Stroll through fields dotted with orange and take some gourd-geous photos – from traditional pick-your-own farms to Halloween mazes and trails, try these top pumpkin picking places in Hampshire.

Rogate Pumpkin Patch, South Downs
Selected dates from 17 October – 2 November 2025
Located in the South Downs National Park, the family-run Rogate Pumpkin Patch is a beautiful experience during October with sustainable natural materials lovingly reused and crafted to create a Halloween haven full of exciting things to see and do.
Explore Merlin's Wood, Dracula's Estate, Pumpkin Garden and find the Bubble Witch.
Try your hand at a seasonal game of Pumpkin Skittles Alley, Pumpkin Slingshot and the Pumpkin Shy and after you’ve worked up an appetite, sample some on site street food.
The pumpkin patch itself has 25 different varieties of pumpkin, gourd and squash ranging from munchkin to monster in size for visitors to pick directly from the field and there is also the Spooky Shop to visit, filled with a huge choice of pumpkin decorations.
Plus on 1 and 2 November, take part in the Rogate Pumpkin Smash offers a chance to satisfying smash the leftover pumpkins.

Pumpkin Time at Sunnyfields Farm, Southampton

With its annual orange spectacle, Pumpkin Time at Sunnyfields Farm near Southampton is a firm favourite Hampshire Halloween event centred around its incredible pyramid display.
Pick up a colourful wheelbarrow at the entrance to roll around the displays and choose from thousands of pumpkins, squash and other cucurbits to purchase and take home to decorate or cook.
Plus, 2025 will see the return of The Glow Trail with 6 new immersive rooms.

Pumpkin Picking Patch, Fordingbridge

Every October the Pumpkin Picking Patch just outside Fordingbridge in the New Forest fills its fields with 20 varieties of pumpkins to stroll amongst and pick.
There’s also a Halloween maize maze to brave if you dare, open for daylight and twilight sessions for those looking for a super spooky experience.

Hallo'Welly'Ween at Wellington Country Park
25 October – 31 October 2025
Hallo'Welly'Ween returns for its 12th year at Wellington Country Park near Heckfield. This special October half term event includes Halloween train rides, circus shows, craft activities, and picking and carving pumpkins at the mini pumpkin patch.

Hampshire Pantry, Winchester

A collective of farmers showcasing their produce in a lovely rural site just outside Winchester, Hampshire Pantry is a gorgeous farm shop, café and pick your own.
Pick a pumpkin or two, take some pumpkin pics, and enjoy a pumpkin spiced latte from the café.
Bourne Valley PYO

Nestled in the Test Valley countryside, Bourne Valley PYO kicks off its 2025 pumpkin picking season on Sunday 19 October with a Family Fun Colour Run.
Cat & Fiddle, New Forest

A charming pick-your-own farm in the south of the New Forest growing different fruit and vegetables throughout the year, the fields at Cat & Fiddle turn a gorgeous shade of pumpkin orange every October with their seasonal produce.
From small to large, Cat & Fiddle Farm has many pumpkins ready to be picked and wheelbarrows are available to hire to help get your autumn pumpkin haul back to the car.
Enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake whilst you’re there at the lovely café with its view across the pick your own fields.

Durleighmarsh Farm, Petersfield

Set in beautiful countryside on the Hampshire/Sussex border close to Petersfield, Durleighmarsh Farm is a renowned family-run farm shop and pick-your-own. As well as pumpkins for picking there are ready picked pumpkins and lots of lovely local produce available from the farm shop.

Pumpkin Pastures, Fordingbridge
11 – 12 and 18 – 31 October 2025
The family-run Pumpkin Pastures pick your own pumpkin field in Fordingbridge has 30 varieties of pumpkin and squash over its 10 acres.
As well as pumpkin picking you can enjoy craft activities, games, and a Halloween barrel train, against the seasonal backdrops on the edge of the New Forest.
On Saturday 1 November the firework frenzy event will end the season with a bang.
The Rotherwick Patch

A warm autumnal welcome awaits at the family-run Rotherwick Patch near Basingstoke. The farm has plenty of Instagram photo opps and will be fully stocked with over 20 varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds home grown on the farm.
Droxford Pumpkin Patch

Celebrating the autumn harvest with a farm full of pumpkin orange fun, Droxford Pumpkin Patch opens in October.
Run by local farmers, the event captures the essence of the autumn season and as well as pumpkin picking, visitors can enjoy spooktastic activities including wand making, potion creation, a strawbale cinema, and a Broomstick Academy.
