Longdown Activity Farm
Meet some of the farmyard animals at Longdown Activity Farm. Have a go at feeding kid goats, search for freshly laid hens’ eggs in the coops and enjoy endless fun on the play equipment.
New Forest Reptile Centre Walk
Take this short, circular walk which starts from the New Forest Reptile Centre's car park and learn about some of the forest's native species of reptile and amphibian.
Mottisfont House & Gardens
Mottisfont is a National Trust property that sits along the River Test and is famed for its Rose Garden in the summer months. Children will love the outdoor play area plus, there’s a large lawn ideal for picnics on those finer days.
During the school holidays, look out for seasonal trails to follow and be sure to grab an ice cream from the Stable Tea Rooms!
Beaulieu
With the National Motor Museum, Little Beaulieu play area, monorail and Palace House, there’s lot to see and do on a day out to Beaulieu.
Keep an eye on the ‘Simply’ events which are held regularly throughout the year, bringing with them a number of different car meets.

Take a trip to some of Hampshire’s beaches such as the beach at Lepe Country Park. Build sandcastles, paddle in the water and soak up the summer vibes with some alfresco dining or a beach picnic.
Go New Forest Pony spotting
With the New Forest National Park within a stone’s throw of Peppa Pig World, you can step into this stunning landscape in no time. Keep an eye out for the famous New Forest Ponies who graze the land here. In spring, you may even see some of the newly born foals. Just be sure to keep your distance and follow the New Forest Code.
Furzey Gardens
Sitting on the edge of the New Forest, Furzey Gardens offers a tranquil spot for a day out. Little ones will love going in search of the many hidden fairy doors and houses as well as playing in the natural play area. There’s an onsite tearoom for refreshments too.
Eling Tide Mill Experience
A great wet weather alternative, The Eling Tide Mill Experience is one of only a handful of working tide mills left in the UK. Visitors can step back in time and enjoy learning about the workings of the newly restored mill and discover how the tide is harnessed to power the centuries old machinery to grind wheat into flour. Children have the chance to dress up in costumes from days gone by and a programme of family events takes place too.
Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary
Pop along to Bolderwood, in the heart of the New Forest. Here, during the summer months, you can often spot the herd of fallow deer.
A great picnic spot, you can also follow various New Forest walking trails from the main Bolderwood car park.
