About
This is Grayshott Folk Club's "Christmas Special" and as such, they invite their audience members to join together around large tables. You can bring along food, a candelabra or two (but please, no lighted candles in the Hall) and a bunch of friends. Grayshott Folk Club will provide the usual fully-licensed pay Bar and offer complimentary Christmas Crackers and warm Mince Pies, to all of their guests, as is a custom.
Tonight Vicki & Jonny perform their "Winter Warmer" show that is a pick 'n mix of classic Christmas Carols, Winter stories and joyful songs, together with a little smorgasbord of a Scandinavian Christmas too. They effortlessly blend traditional material with contemporary sounds. Their performances showcase new interpretations of old songs, alongside original self-penned tunes and contemporary new songs that are entirely at home in the tradition. Be sure to bring along your I-Spy book of "Unusual Folk Instruments", to collect lots of points and be entranced by the haunting Nyckelharpa, amazed at the Cow Horn (one of the world's earliest communication devices) and meet some Bagpipes that didn't come from Scotland.
