No prizes for guessing that Stand Up In The Basement is a stand-up comedy night at Mango Thai Tapas. You get to see top TV comics making you chuckle in the same room, and for a fraction of the normal price!
As well as familiar faces from TV, the evening will feature some of the best circuit comics, plus new raw talent and occasionally a few big names who want to come and try out some new material. It's tailor-made for people who love live comedy! You'll get to see a diverse range of comic talent in an intimate space.
January Line up:
Charlie Baker (Star of Harry Hill's Teatime): Commonly known as 'The UK's answer to Jack Black', Charlie has an instant likeability and charming delivery style that has earned him a very well known reputation on the comedy circuit. He is a popular face on TV panels shows such as: A Short History Of Everything Else (Channel 4), two series of Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), Rob Brydon's Christmas Special (BBC1), Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live 2012 & 2013 (BBC3) and The Comedy Store (Comedy Central).
Nick Page ('The English Comedian of the Year' 2017): Nick has just won 'The English Comedian of the Year' 2017. His debut Edinburgh Festival show had sell-out performances, critical acclaim and a host of 4 star reviews. He is in enormous demand in comedy clubs throughout the UK, as a headline act and MC, and has been for the last 12 years.
Paul McCaffrey (Star of Impractical Jokers - BBC Three): As seen on Russell Howard's Good News (BBC Three) and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), McCaffrey has performed to thousands of people in the last 12 months, supporting Sean Lock and Rob Beckett on their UK tours and is one of the most sought after headline acts in the country in his own right.
Colin Owens: Your compere for the evening, Colin has worked with Jimmy Carr and Russell Brand, as well as working with the team behind The Inbetweeners. "A comedian whose star should shine brightly" (The Guardian). He's "Impossible not to like" (Russell Brand) with "Really good material" (Three weeks Edinburgh). Michael McIntyre said, "I knew he'd be funny and he was".

Show starts prompt at 8.30pm. Please take your seats from 7.45pm and no later than 8.15pm. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis.
