Set right in the heart of the pretty Georgian market town of Lymington, on the New Forest’s south coast, this is a brilliant base for a classic seaside-meets-woodland holiday adventure.
The cottage sleeps up to five guests and two dogs across three big bedrooms (two doubles and a smaller single). Big windows flood the rooms with lots of natural light, and the feel inside is relaxed and comforting, with a touch of vintage charm. A well-equipped kitchen sits alongside a separate dining room that overlooks the garden; handy for long breakfasts before heading out to explore the local attractions. The lounge offers ample seating and opens onto the private garden through French doors.
Outside, the large flat lawn and sunny patio are surrounded by bountiful plants and mature shrubs, providing lots of colour in the summer months. Outdoor seating and a parasol beckon as a lovely spot to sit, chat and unwind as the sun goes down.
Convenience doesn’t come any easier than staying at Coach End with the town's elegant Georgian High Street lined with independent shops, gastro pubs, restaurants, and Town Quay being just a few minutes’ walk from the front door. Spend your mornings swimming in the town's saltwater baths and the afternoon walking alongside the New Forest’s free-roaming ponies and donkeys – just three miles away.
