Lynden is an effortlessly stylish, single-storey holiday home surrounded by pretty woods near the village of Ashurst at the eastern edge of the New Forest National Park.
It hosts seven guests and up to two lucky dogs, with design-led interiors and doors that open onto a heavily planted, bloom-filled garden. The open-plan kitchen and dining area flow into the sitting room, creating a sociable hub for meals and evenings in. And the three bedrooms – a king, double and twin are made for relaxation and lie-ins with only birdsong to disturb your Zzz.
The location here is a little bit fairytale. Within steps of the front door, you’re straight into forest tracks and trails, pony-grazed clearings and woods loaded with deer tiptoeing through the trees, plus, of course, lots of lovely fresh woodland air.
There are three good eating pubs in and around the village, as well as a little parade of shops to pop in and stock up your cupboards. You’ll find that everything about Lynden works exactly as it should for a holiday, and guests rave about it in their five-star reviews.
