About
If you’re looking for plenty of space to gather friends and family, this beautiful, architect-designed holiday home is just the ticket.
The thoughtful owners have gone above and beyond to make this into a comfortable home from home. It’s set in an idyllic village surrounded by rolling heathlands and woods for fabulous walks and bike rides.
Inside Pound House are generously proportioned and impeccably designed rooms. Downstairs flows seamlessly, with the hub of the home being a large funky orange kitchen/diner featuring a huge dining table seating up to 16 guests to gather for dinners, board games and to natter about your day’s adventure out exploring the forest and nearby attractions. There’s a lounge with a south-facing garden room with plenty of space to hang out and relax on deep comfy sofas. Next door is a handsome study, utility room, two ground floor bedrooms, and a downstairs shower room. Upstairs you’ll find three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside is a lovely garden surrounded by lofty trees and lots of woodland wildlife. Do keep an eye on the garden gate and make sure it’s kept shut, as the National Park’s free-roaming ponies, donkeys, and cattle will often be seen grazing outside, longing to break into the garden to munch on well-stocked bloom filled borders!
It’s a short stroll into the centre of Burley village, where you’ll find lots of good-eating options for lunch and dinner, plus a little convenience store and cycle hire.
Close by attractions include Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre, New Forest Water Park, Wonderland Adventure Park, Liberty Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre and the soft sandy swimming beaches of Avon and Highcliffe are a quick twenty-minute drive south.
Please note: Pound House has a covered outdoor pool which regrettably is no longer available for guests use.
