Runners Up

Keily Simms - Beach at Hobourne Naishe

Captured this photo one evening during the warm weather. The Isle of Wight in the background. The group of horses had just finished their evening cool down, my boys were jumping in the shallows and a dog came to see what all the fun was about! Everyone’s in the sea 🌊

Denise Phillips - Lymington Quay

Visiting the quay at Lymington most days this summer has provided many opportunities to catch the magical light at the end of the day. Sometimes the colours and reflections have a special beauty as they did one evening just before the sun set and the scene turned to grey.

A night time to reflect this image was taken at 00.34 am after the summer heat the sky was perfectly clear and the temperature was still very warm the sky was showing a bright mars star with the Milky Way reflecting beautifully in the pond.

A time to reflect this image was taken about 15 minuets after sunset and it really reflected the beautiful summer colours perfectly.

Steve Jones (Instagram: @stevenmartinjones) - Hayling Island

This year my parents moved down to Hayling Island and we’ve spent days on the beach, watching the water and playing with the dogs. Kite surfers are a regular feature of beach life and offer a great chance to take some really interesting action shots, so was pleased to snap this one in July.

Pete Humphry - Ibsley Common, New Forest

I  got up to shoot the sunrise at Ibsley Common and was treated to this spectacular scene! The lone tree surrounded by heather made for a very interesting composition, the amazing light was the icing on the cake!

These stags were clearly on the march but paused long enough for me to grab a shot as the sun made the purple heather pop! An incredible New Forest experience!

My youngest son, Rex was born in the water so keeping him out of the sea during the hot summer months has been proven quite tricky! On this particular day he was keen to perfect his surfing moves. Here he is whilst having a quick break!

During my visit to Lordington Lavender this Summer. I managed to avoid the crowds during their very busy open week to capture this girl. I feel this image captures a ‘quintessential English Summer’s day’.
