Charles Dickens' timeless classic 'A Christmas Carol' comes to Beaulieu this festive season…Bah Humbug!
Join Beaulieu from 18 December 2020 – 3 January 2021, for a festive production of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. This outdoor production is set amongst the spectacular Beaulieu Abbey ruins and cloister. The heartwarming tale is packed full of Christmas cheer, music, magic and joy and is suitable for the whole family to enjoy, together.
Performed to small audiences of 50 people per show, this covid-secure performance is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas with your family this year. Get ready to be transported back in time to the early Victorian era as you join Ebeneezer scrooge on an adventure that sees him visited by three spirits that will change the way he views Christmas forever. This classic tale of joy and love will be performed outdoors within the Beaulieu Abbey ruins and cloister, with audience members being led from location to location as the London Touring Players make use of the conserved ruins that still remain an oasis of calm and reflection today. Why not make it a Christmas to remember by reliving this timeless classic novel that's been adapted for the whole family to enjoy.
Shows for this production will take place on selected dates between 18 December 2020 – 3 January 2021 at 3pm, 4.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.30pm. Performed to a small audience of just 50 people in a covid-secure way, a large amount of the performance will be hosted outdoors so do wrap up warm, bring comfy shoes, blankets, hot drinks and umbrellas for this unique hour-long production. In accordance with the Government's Tier 2 regulations, please only attend the performance in your household bubble. The audience will be positioned in socially distanced bubbles based on the bookings.
