About
Conway Cottage is in the tiny village of East Boldre in the New Forest National Park, where ponies and donkeys freely roam the little lanes, surrounding woods and heather-strewn heathlands. Staying here is like living in a postcard picture; it really is that pretty.
The once compact cobb cottage has been sensitively restored by the owners to reflect its heritage while enhancing the interior with a seamless extension to create plenty of space for six guests and two dogs.
The heart of the home centres around a big farmhouse-style kitchen with the essential huge oak table for dining, clinking glasses, board games, and planning the next day's adventures. Next door is a lounge filled with deep comfy sofas, which in the summer months are arranged to take in the views of the garden through big French doors or flipped during the winter months towards a feature fireplace and wood-burning stove. There’s also a downstairs shower room and a very handy utility room. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, all with the most beautiful views of the forest.
The outside space pays homage to its location with an enclosed, lushly landscaped garden and patio filled with colourful plants, quality wooden furniture, and a barbecue. Add in a hot and cold dog shower and a lockable bike shed, and you’ll find this holiday home could be one of the best you’ve stayed in.
