Make and Take: Printed Bookmarks
11:00am to 4:00pm Included with house admission. Suitable for all ages.
In the 1940s, the museum discovered traces of wood-block printed wallpaper dating to the 1800s, when Jane Austen would have been living in the house. These fragments of wallpaper have been accurately reproduced and hung in two rooms, restoring the house to how it would have looked 200 years ago. Come and view the finished wallpaper then have a go at printing your own bookmark with some drop-in, messy, art activities.
