Author and historian Maureen Penrose will be talking about her book My Northern Adventure.
17 year old Totton boy Edwin Henning went to live in Liverpool in 1940 after his family were bombed out of their home. Decades later Maureen found his weekly letters home, giving a fantastic insight into the past.
There will be an opportunity to buy a copy of the book from Maureen (please bring cash or cheque only).
Talks are held in the John Chandler Activity Room in the Visitor Centre and are suitable or 16+ years.
Tickets are £5: please buy in advance, in person or via Eling Tide Mill Experience's website.
The Mill Cafe will be open from 6.30pm for tea, coffee, cake.
