About
The Grange Festival are delighted to announce that their next Open Day will take place on Sunday 29 April from 12.30pm. The theatre and the grounds will be abuzz with activity as we welcome a wonderful array of local pop-up food and drink stalls, gifts and produce to buy and take home, and an exciting programme of entertainment throughout the afternoon - all within the beautiful surroundings of the Grange estate.
With the launch of Dance@TheGrange this summer, The Grange Festival have factored various dance pieces into the Open Day entertainment, including a Music & Movement workshop on stage. They showcase finalists from the Martin Read Foundation Young Composers' Scheme with introductions and interviews by Jonathan Dove. Alan Titchmarsh will join Michael Chance on stage for a chat, and end the afternoon in the theatre with an exclusive Grange Festival production, Combattimento - Warriors and Lovers, Claudio Monteverdi.
Winchester dance school Integr8 will perform interactive workshops and open performances, and the West Meon Theatre will showcase their 'work in progress' Nell Gwynn within the beautiful setting of the ruined mansion.
Elsewhere on site will be face painting, craft, talks, pony rides, local pop-up food and drink stalls, gifts and produce to purchase, and much more.
Do come along for what promises to be a fabulous family afternoon out. Eat and drink delicious things from well-known local suppliers. Enjoy brilliant dance and music making and become a part of the soul of the Grange. There will be plenty of parking with a £5 voluntary donation per car.
